Founding semester at the University of Bayreuth

"It is a central concern of the University of Bayreuth to support and assist students and young founders in all matters", emphasizes University President Prof. Dr. Stefan Leible.

To this end, the University of Bayreuth has been creating the organizational prerequisites for a campus-wide start-up culture for several years. Another component to enable students to pursue a business idea in a concentrated manner is the start-up semester. In this semester, which every student can apply for at the Student Administration Office, founders can further develop their ideas. The application process can be found in the chart below. The deadlines for submission to the Student Administration Office are 1 of April for the summer semester and 1 of October for the winter semester of each academic year.

Important for non-EU nationals: Students who are non-EU citizens need to prove that they have authorization to establish a start-up in Germany.
